[(√11-√5)(√11-√5)]/[(√11+√5)(√11-√5)]
= (11-2√11√5+5)/(11-5)
= (16-2√55)/6

(√11 - √5) /( √11 + √5) * (√11 - √5) /( √11 - √5)

(√11 - √5)^2 /( 11 - 5)

(16 - 2√55) / 6

(8 - √55) / 3

OK,

U can use FOIL method if you want:

[(√11)(√11)+(√5)(√11)
+(-√5)(√11)+(-√5)(√5)]

Simplified:

11+√55-√55-5
11-5
=6

Or you can use the difference of squares

√11(squared)-√5(squared) Which will result in:

11-5 (again)
=6
