What are some good poetry books by them?

I adore and highly recommend Jim Carroll. A good one to get started on? Fear of Dreaming, it's a compliation of his earlier books, Void of Course is also good, I don't care for Forced Entries,and it's more of a journal than poetry anyway.

As for living poets, I really enjoy Albert Goldbarth. He conveys so much detail that despite the fact that I'm a different gender and from a different generation, I still felt connected to his experiences. I recommend Budget Travel Through Space and Time. He does amazing things by coupling random historical trivia, personal experience, and a wry sense of humor.

i love Plath, happy to make sure some costs of hers the following. i'm interpreting the bell jar now, and own ariel too. She became, and nevertheless is the first poet i think absolutely obsessed on. Her artwork is impressive, elm is ordinary haunting. "If the moon smiled, she would resemble you. you depart an similar effect Of some thing perfect, yet annihilating." like the others ones too yet repetition isn't my element :)

I have been a fan of Doug Anderson since high school (he came and spoke to us a couple of times.) Blues for Unemployed Secret Police, and The Moon Reflected Fire are two of his books (available on Amazon.com).

My favourite modern poets include both Bengali and and English poets.Among Bengali poets, I like the poems of Sunil Ganguli and Joy Goswami who wrote poems like'' Hathat Nirar Janya ''and ''Pagli Tomar Sange''.English poets like T.S. Eliot appeal me much for his poems like ''Love songs of J. Alfred Prufrock''.
