Ok, so out class is having a huge debate tomorow. Half the class (im part of that half)has to argue about the fact that women did, infact, gain all thier rights. They have alot of rights now adays and etc.. The other half has to say that women still have a few rights. The teacher put me in the half that says women have alot of rights, and they gained all thier rights.. Please help me it has alot of marks and i dont know what to say, i need to back it up with some examples! please help me! thankyou so much in advance

The worst part is, i dont think women gained all thier rights, so its even harder for me to debate when i dont even believe in it in the first place:S...

There r so many examples like the right to vote and all that good stuff.....i guess your only talking about the united states since how in some other countries women still have no rights what so ever.

The answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on where in the world you live. Women have gained many rights i.e. the right to vote, the right to equal pay (although, this is often ignored by companies), the right to work in most jobs like fire fighter, police officer etc...

You would do well to start your research with a web search on women's rights...

I'm with you!
However, we are finally at a poitn in which feminism means
being able to choose
EITHER work or stay at home mom.
That's not a legal right, that's a social right ot live and breathe and not be hounded by peole and media images.
But it's a thought, hope it gets you somewhere.
