We went to war to overthrow Saddam Hussein.

Well, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. But mission creep has tragically set in.

It is now an Occupation. And we should NOT be Occupiers. Our presence there creates the very insurrection we are staying to prevent!

The insurrectionists are NOT Al Qaeda. They're nationalists. What would YOU do if foreign soldiers were in our country, ordering us around? The same thing they're doing in Iraq!

So if we leave, there will be no reason for an insurrection. Things will get better in Iraq. And they will NOT come here! GUARANTEED!

All that will be left is a Shiite-Sunni Civil War. We should NOT be in the the middle of that. We CANNOT impose order in that country-- they have to do it themselves.

Time to stop wasting lives for no reason. What could be more immoral? The war is OVER. Time to get out!

NORM: Sunnis do not take arms from Iran. Learn to deal with detail and complexity, if a rightist can.

I agree. It is immoral to invade a country, destory its infrastructure and leave a gaping power vaccuum. If we want to WIN in Iraq, there needs to be a clear definition of what "win" means -- to establish peace and security? To establish a Jeffersonian democracy? As well as a well thought out strategy in which to achieve that said victory. Otherwise, it's pretty hard to understand exactly WHAT we are still doing there...unless we're just plugging the dam that will eventually burst with the lives of US servicemen and women.

THE WAR IS OUT . Sounds familiar ! I dont think it's over yet, it will be over when the US army is defeated in IRAQ and then pulls out Vietnam Style , immediately after Iranian forces will move in and create the new United Vietnam.. eeeuuuh I mean United Sheea Republic : USR!
Now that's what I call digging your own grave, how's that for a plane ZIONIST NEOCONS?. looks like you have managed to polarize the NUKES toward TelAviv after all.. you should have been content with Saddam's scud clunkers instead!

Don't you know that we are fighting TERRORISTS(sss) over there so that they won't follow our troops here? If we leave, they will see where we are going and know where we live! Everyone who is brown is a terrorist! How can you not see that? We have to convert them all to fundamentalist Christianity and then bleach them all. Then we put in a Wal-Mart. Don't you see that's the only way that we can stop being frightened little children who give up their hard fought rights at the first sound of "boo!"?
Don't you see that we have to support our troops by leaving them in harm's way but putting a stupid magnet ribbon on our SUV's? What better way to show the troops that you care for them, not as individual people, but as an abstract entity? Every dead soldier means that we need to do that much more to justify the death. We have a lot of work to do.

Quit emboldening the enemy. Get behind the Fuhr- I mean president. The terrorists(sss) will all quit and go home if we all just get in line behind the other lemmings.

That is why they call it a "War on terror" like one day we will turn on the TV and they will say "We got them all" everyone loves us again. What people don`t understand is that you can win wars but occupations are not to be won you just go home. I think the Iraqis gave us a chance in the beginning but Bush has to protect Saudi Arabia and make sure the majority in Iraq is Sooni.

"Insurgents" is a nice little name that does not even come close to describing an Iraqi nationalist.

Wrong. They are not nationalists. They are Sunni and Shiite terrorists. Nationalists would not take arms from Iran.

Do some research before you post a question next time!
