It's (to me at least) the very annoying list of things that are forever having to be done around the house....thus the name; "honey, do.........." and the wife names what must be done; (wash the windows, clean out the garage, and so on and so on..............) that's why it's called the 'honey do list'...I preferred to live in an apartment and stay single!!!!

It is a list of things needed to be done. Typically a spouse (or other honey) will write a list of chores/errands needed to be done by their "honey". The honey do list means "Honey, do this."
