The one who is nearest to me. Then I would go to the next closest one. Their occupation would not have a thing to do with it. Thanks for making me think. :)

I would help the nun who is getting mugged so she could help the social worker who wants to jump, and then the social worker would go on to help the mother of three. Finally, the mother of 3 can then hurry over to aid her sister (CEO) who has been hurt in the car accident.

I agree with those who talk about proximity. I guess its obvious that whoever was closest to you would be the first one that you would help. but then again, if all were at reachable helping range, I think I would try to help as many as I could at once. The choking victim seems to be the easiest to assist to, whereas you could call the police for the rest of them. After helping the mother and calling the cops for the accident, the jumper, and the mugging, I would try to help the nun. This question also depends on what you are capable of offering these people. I personally couldn't do anything to help an accident victim, and I don't really know the effective way to stop a jumper. The question obviously is made to split your ideas of different facets of society, family, the market place, religion, and education/social work, forcing you to take preference. I would spend less time on reaffirming social divisions through questions and more time on creating group solidification within society.

help the nun who is being mugged so she can talk to the social worker who's about to jump off; so that the social worker could help the mother who's choking; and that the mother could run unto his husband ( CEO ) who's badly hurt in the accident
bow!

The mother: The Heimlich can get her ready quickly to go with her kids and ask for help from the social worker. Call 911 for the CEO and ask for police to help the nun. Meanwhile you take photos of the mugging with your cell phone camera for evidence.

Well, this couldn't be happening all in the same place so I would probably save the mother of 3 first. She has a responsibility to her children and not saving her would ruin 3 more young lives.

I'd like to try and help them all but, if this is going on all at the same time, I would have to make the mother my priority.

I would run to her aide first because, she has children who need her and their loss would be far greater than if I chose someone else first.

Either the mother because she has three lives utterly dependent on her or the social worker.
