thanks for the answers but i do have another question... if i cant even get online using my macbook how do i even get to the sites you suggested to download america online? is there a cd that has america online that i can put in my macbook and download it from there?

click that, it will download AOL for mac onto your desktop. double click on it, and drag aol into your applications folder.

uh...how are you getting on this site right now? Connect your Mac to the modem, router or switch and open System Preferences (Apple menu or Utilities) > Network > click on Assist me... then Assistant. Follow the prompts and when you are online go to the sites previously posted and download.

click there link... download it...... burn the intstall folder to a cd........ insert cd in to mac..... lanch the install application
