Justify and stall all you want, but let's face it: no one is born gay. We are all born pure, the way God would have us. So what happened in your life that made you think that being gay was preferable to being pure? You need to spend more time thinking of God's word than your own lustful tendencies.

Couldn't have said it better. Reject the devil and search out the Lord.

Well I wanted to kiss girls and have a girlfriend since I was 9, despite being raised in a religious household with regular church attendance as well as study groups etc. so that's a pretty clear indication I didn't choose it. Seeing as how I was too young to choose anything more complicated than what I wanted for lunch. If I wasn't born gay then it happened very young. I don't know where exactly you are getting your information from but I'd consider changing my sources.
You also suggest that we are making a decision between doing something we know is right and doing something we know is wrong to appease our "lustful tendencies". The point is, and what you don't seem to understand, is that we don't think it is wrong. We think it's just fine for us to have gay relationships and for those of us who aren't christian there's not much point telling us to think about the word of a god we don't believe in.

Hi there, you answered one of the questions that i posted, i really don't understand how someone who is so obvioulsy against being GAY, spends dso much time answering questions posted by GAY people. My question was posted in the appropriate section for the answers that i wanted to recieve. My question was about civil marriages and where they can take place, NOT wether people like you agree with them. You say that GAY's need to spend more time thinking about GOD's word but maybe you should. Apparently he/she made us all, so why would he/she want to make us faulty???

Homosexuality is not for you to understand nor is it for you to judge, being GAY isn't a choice, you do not wake up one day and think "i know what, i'll be gay"! and the fact that you can't comprehend that notion speaks volumes!!!!

The way i look at things is, if a subject has no relavance to your life then why worry about it.... whats the point.

Why do certain individuals feel the need to take it apon themselves to and spread the word, come on if the word was that great surely it wouldn't need such publicity!!!!!!

In original hebrew Homosexuality wasn't even mentioned because guess what THE WORD DID NOT EXIST. None of the current translations are exact. Words have been changed, added, and subtracted many times, which is why people decide they're right. I'm a lay speaker at my church I've done my research on this many times over. That being said, the bible also states that the only God is allowed to pass judgement and you are not allowed to pass judgement on your fellow man.

Even further, there are arguments that some of the biblical characters were close enough to the point where they could actually have been considered homosexual. You need to do your research. You need to LEARN that word meanings change over time. For example: Homophobia USED TO mean "Fear of sameness or monotony" but recently it's become to mean fear of homosexuals.

I mean if you look at it this way Jesus says nothing about same-sex behavior. The Jewish prophets are silent about homosexuality. Only six or seven of the Bible's one million verses refer to same-sex behavior in any way -- and none of these verses refer to homosexual orientation as it's understood today.

Most people who are certain they know what the Bible says about homosexuality don't know where the verses that reference same-sex behavior can be found. They haven't read them, let alone studied them carefully. They don't know the original meaning of the words in Hebrew or Greek. And they haven't tried to understand the historical context in which those words were written. Yet the assumption that the Bible condemns homosexuality is passed down from generation to generation with very little personal study or research.

let's see...God created us all hetero?
Well, he created us to not know any better than to dirty our diapers and not care....we are "potty trained" away from that.
People are created with a certain dominant side of the brain. I was born left-handed, as were about 10-20% of the population. Many places even today try to (and in the past were much more successful at) train away that natural handedness, to severe emotional and psychological detriment of people--some handled it "ok" and others have not---handedness is a"brain thing", not a choice. It is the way we are put together. Left-handedness has been seen as truly evil by some in the past. Even today there are vestiges of this.
Why would anyone choose to be something that arouses hatred? Gayness, handedness---those are NOT choices, but natural creations. Yes, any of it can be changed, through years of work, but the harm it does far outweighs any "good" that comes in trying to be just like everyone else.

ROFLMAOATSPS!!!

There you go, mixing science and religion again.

The one making excuses here is you. You're lame attempts at justifying your hatred and fear is pathetic.

God-schmod.
I know who I am, I know how I was born and there's simply no way YOU can tell me any different. You weren't there, you don't know my heart, you don't walk in my shoes.

The one lying here is you. You're assuming you know ANY of us here.
You assume my relationship with my Partner of TEN Years is nothing but lust? TEN YEARS?

Concidering the percentage of fundamentalist christians who get divorced within the first FIVE years...I would say YOU have more of a problem than I DO!

Silly little man, until you are perfect don't come whinning to us about your problems. If you don't like gays, don't post to them. If you don't like homosexuality...don't have gay sex. But don't you DARE assume you KNOW anything about ANY of us!

Now shooooo.....

I have a LIFE to live, I'd suggest you get your own.

yes, justify and stall. ALL evidence is showing that people are born that way. Please quit being stubborn and accept the truth. WE gays are also born pure; that is why the BIBLE shows that being gay is not wrong, only MAN has twisted God's words to make it that way. When did YOU decide to fight against God?

WOW!!! Dude please. Your not gay im guessing or else you would understand where we are comming from. I did not choose to be hated by many people. I did not choose this life but it obviously was the life i was supposed to have. You can say what you want but why do you say it here where everyone, accept people like you are either gay/bi or for gay and bi people? Your seeking attention.

There are gay animals and bugs and such too, not just us. I bet that some dogs mom was too affectionate with him... that MUST be the reason..... Like i said you dont even know. God created us like this and if you dont believe that then let HIM judge us not you... remember he said you shouldnt do that.

Why are you pretending that you're not a hate filled bigot?

You need to spend more time thinking of God's word and applying it to your own life instead of being presumptuous and foolish about the lives of others.

I'll be honest, when I first realized I was bi I cried and denied it. I was ashamed and angry because that was one more thing that made me shunned by the general population. The truth is if I could be attracted to men I would be but this is who I am and I am now proud of who I am. It is people like you who made it so that I was ashamed. God is the one who made me who I am and if you are too small minded to see that than you need to reexamine your relationship with God.

Clearly you are not much of a Christian. We are all born impure with the mark of original sin courtesy of Adam and Eve. If you are going to spout an ideology at least get it right. Or perhaps this is your personal ideology and your personal views in which case you won't mind if I choose to believe that you have the wrong answer.
