yup, more than twenty years back during my college days, we had to do a topographic survey of the whole river system including the different pools upstream, the falls and the meandering stream. we then measured the discharge of the river and had to measure the current flow and did soundings at different intervals of the stream.
after the required activities, we proceeded with the induction of our usc-tc civil engineering class '88 officers.
there used to be a bamboo platform abutting into the pool area and the funny thing was, approximately 50 civil engineering students trooped to that platform for picture taking. the poor bamboo platform gave way and throwing all of us into the water below. with cameras clicking, the embarrased graduating class of civil engineers experienced their first structural failure.
that picture brings back happy memories of my college days.

Yeap! Been there twice, Its a great place, especially when you reach the source. Ive heard the local government developed the place and making it one of the must see while in Cebu!

oh gosh... i miss that place! i'm from cebu and i totally love kawasan falls. too bad though... lots of people have already drowned in the first falls...
if you go back to cebu, ask your girlfriend/fiancee to take you to bantayan island if you haven't been there yet =) it's like a mini boracay without the crowd and prices.

ive been to kawasan falls the summer of last year when we went to cebu.my college friend owns a resort about 30 mins away. we hiked up to the highest falls but we weren't able to stay long enough 'coz it was getting dark. every fall is just beautiful...

sry never its in cebu huh. there are lots of nice fall falls in pinas. i found one in my moms provice. my cousins have never been there either the they life only 20 mins away..
