I thought you were suppose to plant them in late fall, that way they the bulbs have time to gather strength from the soil before spring.

whenever,as long as the ground isnt hard!!plant them b 4 spring,thats when they wake up,good luck! once planted,bulbs are left in the ground so why would winter rot them?
