Seriously. Does the fact that his electric bill is so high actually invalidate energy consumption concerns?

To MATURE people, I mean.

Actually, in America, one can buy what one pleases. In today's hostile world of bucolic discourse, Al Gore's privacy had been invaded. Should we start publishing the energy use of all democrats and republicans? How about their medical reports? How about their list of books owned. How about the number of times they orgasm each month. C'mon people.

Not necessarily. Let's wait to see if there is some kind of explanation from Mr. Gore himself --it may be that his wife or one of his children forgot and left an unused iron or some other electric appliance running for several hours/days............

I have a high water bill, does that mean I want to waste water.......NO! My car gas is outrageous, does that mean I don' t conserve, Get a grip on reality. I am no fan of Gore either.

Oh, of course not! After all, It takes a lot of energy to tell people that they have to conserve. What I wanna know is, how much money is he raking in (by way of dividends) from all that Occidental Petroleum Stock he owns.

Compare that to Dick Cheney's $186,000 electric bill.

At least Al Gore pays his own bill. You and I (Taxpayers) are paying for Cheney's bill, mind you.

People simply hate hypocrisy. If you put yourself out there as some great zealot/advocate for a cause, but don't adhere to your own preachings, it calls into question your commitment. Just ask pedophile priests, adulterous evangelists, homophobic gay politicians, drug-using anti-drug crusaders, etc...how seriously can they expect to be taken?

Al Gore causes more greenhouse gases in a couple of years than I will use in my entire life. Maybe I will start listening to him when he starts walking the walk.

Absolutely not.

Its just another example of the liberal elite being hypocrites.

Like John Edwards crying foul about "Rich Ameirca" and "Poor America" while living in a multi-million dollar home.

No, but it sure does make him a hypocrite. People are more willing to listen to his concerns if he walks the talk. It is unfortunate that he has squandered this opportunity.
