football--johnny unitas played in the era before super bowls and was the toughest qb ever. just rough and tough even sported the buzzcut and was not only a great player but great person not spoiled or selfish like a lot of players
baseball--hank aaron because not only is he the greatest power hitter of all time but because it took a lot of character to deal with the racism people had for him just because he broke babe ruth's home run record.
basketball--magic johnson was the best all around player and at 6'9 was the best point guard ever and could play any position on the floor. dont look at the number of points look at the number of assists and triple double. jason kidd still needs over a hundred triple doubles just to catch him.
