No, menstruation has nothing to do with when a girl starts having sex. Menstruation can start between the ages of 8 and 16. Menstruation will not occur until all parts of a girl's reproductive system have matured and are working together.

If a girl becomes sexually active at a young age it could speed up her cycle, but it does not cause it to happen. If she bleeds on her first time that is normal because her hymen is broken. If you or the girl you are talking about has not started her period yet then she is too young to be having sex!!! if you don't already know the answer to this question then you are too young to have sex. I am not trying to be mean or bash you, you need to really think about your question and think about the consequences of sex and if you are really ready! It is not just pleasure, it is baby making and if you are too young to answer this question on your own then you are not ready to answer this question for your child that you will make for not knowing enough about sex!!!!

Menstruation happens when a girl's body matures enough to start releasing eggs. Sexual activity doesn't have anything to do with it, EXCEPT that sometimes sex can make the girl's menstrual period for that month start early because sex can make the egg cell release early.
