many of the components are very high quality, as we supply Gov. Agencies, i.e. highways etc.

we want to expand into the UK Domestic Market.

Apart from the fact that sonal panels are very expensive, the constant power supply makes the solar business very weak in developed countries. If you can try some rich but underdeveloped countries such as Nigeria and other African countries, you will be amazed by the response you will receive. Good luck.

Yes, you would need to plan on who would distribute it for you, as I'm sure there is a large market for the total cost of planning and fitting if it's considerable lower than now.

There aren't many installed now, as the cost is a key barrier to them being purchased.

If you approach major distribturs, such as retailers, then this would keep your costs lower than if you created your own sales force and stockpile of units.

A better question might have been to ask a question along the lines of
'is there market in the UK for full size house solar panelling at £500?' (Assuming payback in a year or 2)

Good luck! Rob

There is a market however the double glazing boys have jumped on the market in the UK telling all their usual lies and giving the solar panel business a bad name some have known to say that not only will you power your entire house but it will power your car for a year Nonsense

people are worrying about the environment, but it is too expensive to do anythign about it, so if a company appeared with cheaper solar panels, and offered to install, at a price that was reasonable enough, there would be a market for them.

solar lighting for gardens is in "fashion" at the moment, i know many peole who use them in their gardens but feel that the quality of some of the more affordable aren't really that good.

I would say so. The solar panels that are available here are quite expensive which is why people have not had them installed. If they could be installed much more economically I m sure people wpuld be more willing to have them especially given that energy prices continue to rise in the UK.
