Of course you're right. You can shelter all your income from taxation, like Bono does, while preaching about world poverty.
Or you can leave Carbon Footprints as big as on olympic swimming pool everywhere you go, like Al Gore while preaching about global warming.
Or you can champion the cause of alternative energy, then bitterly protest the construction of windmill farms, like the Kennedy's when they learned that it might compromise the "views" from their multimillion dollar beach houses.
Or you can whine about there being Two America's (one rich, one poor) like John Edwards, while finishing construction on your 22 million dollar mansion.

Yep ..pretty much...you hit the nail on the head there my friend.
Let's take AL Gore as an example - private jets, big fancy cars, etc. I don't begrudge him ANY of it because he earned them...BUT he tells ME I must "go GREEN" while he is living the extravagant HIGH LIFE of an energy ABUSER!
***Just on the news this morning was a story about his mansion in TN. His publicist said all his OTHER conservation efforts offset the exessive use of energy by that home...yeah...right.

To me, liberalism means Black people get to vote, or to buy houses where they want to if they can afford to. It means national health care. It means staying out of wars you don't actually need to get in to. It means the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation insuring your bank deposits. It means clean air and water regulations so you don't get cancer. And what does conservatism mean? Black people can't vote, can't buy houses where they want even if they can afford to. It means letting people die in the streets because they can't afford inflated drug prices. It means letting crooks walk away with your bank deposits, it means letting polluters poison thousands, or millions, just so they can get rich. Which do you chose?
