I would say that the metaphysical "meaning" of sex can be summed up this way: "Creativity is good." Now you are probably wondering how sex and creativity are connected. Well, let me explain. Sex is an essentially creative act in at least two important ways.
First, there is the obvious connection to reproduction. Sexual activity is capable of creating new life. And, I should point out that part of this creativity also involves the creative mixing of genetic material, so that not only is a new life created, but this new being is unique. You might say that the creative mixing of genes is a sort of "biological art form".
Second, sexual activity can be spiritually creative. ****** desire promotes a great deal of social and emotional connectivity. ****** desire pushes us out of our nest to go meet people and form all sorts of physical and emotional bonds with them. It encourages us to touch others physically and emotionally. We want to open up to others, and we want them to open up to us. The social connections created by sexual desire lead to highly complex, creative patterns of human interaction. The emotional connections lead to highly complex, creative patterns of personal and interpersonal spiritual growth. We fall in love with each other, support each other, nurture each other, and force each other to confront our personal issues in all sorts of painful but potentially productive ways. We cannot stand back and visually appreciate all of this creative artistry as easily as we can enjoy a painting or a well-cooked meal, but these complex, creative patterns deeply affect us nonetheless.
Ok, so I have shown that sex is creative, but I have not yet shown that creativity is good. Well, this is a long story, but the quick synopsis is this: Without creativity in the material realm we wouldn't be here at all. Without creativity in the emotional/spiritual realm, our material existence would have no value to us or anyone else. Without creativity, there is just stagnation; there would be no life and no joy or love.
Thus I say that the metaphysical meaning of sex is "creativity is good", and I, for one, very much enjoy living a creative life ;-)
As for "tips" I will just offer one which happens to be in the spirit of everything I've just said: Where your ****** desire is concerned, be creative. Don’t take an easy path just because it's easy, and don't follow a leader just because everyone else is. Be true to your own path and find ways to express your love and compassion along the way. Diversity is essential to the prosperity of life because diversity is the foundation of creativity. Be truthful, express your individuality, and trust in the goodness of creative love. Be loving, and you will eventually be loved.

After going through the answer of eroticohio, I felt that they gave you a wonderful account. But this account of sexual life is more an ornamental description than perhaps what you expect to know.
Let me first begin with biological aspect of sexual life.This life is a phase that begins from puberty, that is, around 12 years when the gonad becomes mature and starts producing sex cells( ova and sperms). Attendant with these are the secretion of gonadal hormones that give a physiolgical effect, one of which is the desire to copulate. Surge of these hormones create the desire for having sex, and in this state of mind one looks for the opposite sex and begins to take interest so that they may engage themselves in copulation. The biological meaning of this is to procreate, that is, to produce offspring.This is the beginning of sexual life.
Social aspect is that you get married and have sex. When two individuals marry they found a home and all the appertenances that go in establishing a bond of fidelity and love and other nuances of life.
Other things are the offshoot of what becomes a family life, of which sexual life is a part. At 45 years of age when women enter into menopause, secretion of sex hormones in them is drastically reduced and they do not evince much intererst in sexual life, which is not the case with men. But having had a sexual life for about 25 years, they become sort of used to it and continue with it with reduced frequency.
Sexual desire is natural and it is to be enjoyed in the way that gives optimum pleasure. Sexual life however depends upon physical and mental fitness. Over indulgence is harmful; at the same time abstinence brings about some changes in pattern of thinking.
Sex can be enjoyed when there is a deep love between the partners as the primordial source of sex lies in the brain.

sexual life not only means physical closeness between two partners but also mental closeness between two partners i.e trying to understand each other feelings and emotions , sharing each others sorrows and happinesses and always being ready to help the other when the other need help.

It is all in the mind.
One way is Lust- which has no ending- it is desire unlimited-it is something like a cat and dog affair.
The other side is LOve where you think of your partner and happiness- which leads to procreation- creating life and living ife fully.

its part of life routine...where one first enjoys child life then younger life...then marriage...called grihasthashramam...last comes sanyasam...among this comes the sex life in grihasthaashramam...u enjoy this upto ur maximum...bcoz the life is all a maaya...and to achieve salvation...u hav to achieve sanyaasam...or brahmacharyam...in which there is no sex life...its the most difficult...to control ur mind during that...and a free advice the worst bitches are girls...keep away from them...my free advisce...hehe
