What is your opinion off it? Is it worth the $1500.00? I had a demonstration yesterday and I am undecided. Too many attachments to switch around, it doesn't get right up to the edge, you have to switch attachments are just a couple of things I don't like. Any opinions and is the cost really worth it?

We bought a Kirby and the demo was great, we bought some attachments (which we NEVER used) and had it about 2 years. It was heavy and took up space since it had all the attachments. It was the worst investment I have ever made. After the kirby we bought a Hoover bagless for about 300.00, and have had it ever since (about 3 years). It still works like it did the first day we bought it! I would not recommend the Kirby, save your money, buy a Hoover and take a small vacation with the rest...

I purchased a Kirby years ago. It lasted no longer than any vacuum cleaner on the market today. It was hard to pull around, but it did a good job.

My gripe was the high price. My daughter just bought a real nifty Bissell for only $169.00. There are professional type vacuums that are available at Lowe's for only 400 bucks. And from what I understand are excellent vacuums. The brand is Dyson. ( see link below)

If I were you, I would pass. Half of the price (or more) is commission for the salesman. It is a gimmick because you can buy the same vacuum on eBay for probably less than half the price you would pay the salesman.

I paid for my vacuum for years, even when it didn't work right.

Hope this helps.

I've had their demo a couple times just to get the free shampoo. I doubt one would ever use all those attachments. There are other sweepers out there that do a great job for around $200.

I have one, found it to be to heavy, bags are not cheap. It does clean well & I liked he shampoo feature & the attachment to remove the pet hair from furniture (cost extra). However for the price I belive there are some models out there that are a better value depending on your needs. Plus know having removed all carpeting from my home I rarely ever use it. For me it was just to much money.

i thought mine was worth it til i had it a while, i never use the attachments and if you are going to scrub a large area you are better off renting a scrubber. takes too much time filling it over and over again, the sweeper isn't as powerful as it was when i bought it.

I had one and will never have another. They are too heavy and cumbersome. Spend half that and get a Dyson. Seriously. I love my Dyson. I donated my Kirby to Goodwill.
