Can anybody help me with the fictional biographies of two characters in pulp fiction?

I need to look more in detail at John Travolta's role and Samuel L.Jacksons in pulp fiction...are their characters linked in any ways?? Are they secreatly in love? I'm in Italy trying to get away from the stresses of living in London and my final year exams and need some direction on this topic for my essay. Thanks!!

Well they definitely knew each other before the movie. I really don't think they are in love or anything weird like that. Travolta's character spent some time in Amsterdam. Also, his brother is Mr. Blonde from Reservoir Dogs.
