over the last 2 months i have had pnuemonia/pluerisy and broncal asthma.I have now got the all clear for the pnuemonia/pluerisy but still have asthma.I am going to malta on the 20th may,do i need to tell the travel insurance companies or travel agents as i didnt have this when i booked the holiday also would i need any injection.eg flu/pnuemonia

You do need to tell your insurer about your condition. If you go on holiday and need to re-patriated then there is the possibility that they would refuse to assist you because it is a pre-existing condition. If you're willing to take that gamble then don't bother.

U dont need to tell them if u have travel insurance already. Just check with ur family doc and ask him/her how to protect urself in such a place. Bon Voyage!

Best to tell the insurer as they may regard this as a pre-exisiting condition if you need treatment and not pay out of you have not declared it.
