No because Black History Month is not talked about as much as it used to be. You only really hear about BHM if you're still in school or they may have a commercial about it on t.v. I don't understand why you guys get so upset about BHM. You should want to know about the black leaders that have contributed to society and the leaders that still are contributing to society. It should be a positive thing but instead you have to make it into a negative thing.

I've actually learned a few weeks ago that we do have a Hispanic Heritage Month. I believe the Asians have a history month too. But they are not talked about obviously because a LOT of people don't know about it. Why don't you guys that answered yes to this question stop being so ignorant and try to learn something for a change?

well VanZilla here one is... NO I AM NOT GLAD. not like you learned about our history when you were in school. not like you bothered to pay attention becasue if you did, you would know that without black historians, THERE WOULD BE A SAD SAD WORLD TODAY. lots of inventions came by the hands of african americans. think on it.

sheesh... the rest of the year is dedicated to whites in schools.. one month wont kill you. GOD FORBID you may learn somethin g

Ask someone BLACK! I suspect their answer will greatly differ from yours if perhaps you are white. Lets just redirect this question to the Black members of society and let them be the judge.

Well, I don't think it hurts to learn about other people in our universe. Maybe they will have MUTT history month for the rest of us who have multi-ancestral beginnings...that maybe could be your month. I have English,Irish, and a bit of German in me so I could have 3 months to celebrate!
Go with the flow...it will be better on your blood pressure.

NO, in fact I feel my children's schools did not devote ENOUGH time to Black History Month. They actually did NOTHING !!!! I find that horrible. I want my children to see examples of all the wonderful Black leaders from our history.
