I love your answers!!! They are making me smile :-) I seriously asked a question earlier this week about a beach holiday and people suggested Las Vegas!!! WTF?!?!?!?!!? Talk about not reading the question and then they got angry with me for editing and adding I only want a beach destination!!! hahahahahaha

Yeah, everytime they answer, they seem like they're in a tottally different world.I asked for a good name for a baby boy,and they were answering girls names.

Lots of people have put the silly answers so I guess I'll answer properly..

I find it happens most when someone is asking about an emotive issue.... generally something like pregnancy, abortion, smoking or breeding dogs... then people seem to skip the question completely and get on their soap boxes about the rights and wrongs of it all... most of them seem to assume the questioner is being irresponsible when they really don't know anything about the person's situation, and a lot of the time they miss the fact that the person is asking purely out of curiosity. :)

Other than that I find that people seem to spend their time going around correcting people's grammer and spelling, without answering the question.

All for the sake of 2 points :)

I think everyone's addicted to YA but annoyed at all the repeated questions so they write the answer to the question that they personally wanted to answer when it is nothing like the original question.

Yes, I've noticed - common occurence in life generally these days. People I send emails to respond back with questions already answered in the previous email [they don't read the entire mail and just skip through, therefore missing things] - people do not LISTEN to voice mail messages, and miss important parts.

People do not read all written in contracts, bills, etc.

Why? people are inherently lazy these days - that's all I can come up with as a reason...not to mention there is a modicum of arrogance at play too [folk assuming they know whatever the rest is]

Perhaps it's just a reflection of the volume of new users on here, who perhaps haven't honed their answering skills to the level of more regular users.

If we were all of a similar experience level, we'd probably find that answers were more pertinent. Perhaps this represents the time of year that workloads are heaviest and those of us at work don't have enough time to concentrate more fully too.

Good luck to more pertinent answers in future! Rob

Seems kind of silly to submit an answer without knowing what the question is....

I've seen alot of that as well....and it does make me wonder what the heck are all these people thinking?! haha!

Oh well, it must have to do with getting the two points and just leaving it at that.

Just an observation. :-)

Yes.
1. To have the first answer.
2. Don't care about the "Best Answer", just wanna earn points.
3. They don't know the answer.

If you want to color your hair, use a textured paint and an industrial heat gun.

(PS You are right! I am sometimes guilty of it myself, especially when I am running out of break time and spot a question which is rather long and try to answer it on the fly as the seconds run out, not htat I am long winded or anything but I often run out of time as I am replying and dont.....)

For the 2 points, and because they want to be the first. Very few really seem to want to be helpful.

However, some questions are so long even I sometimes try to guess what the point is.

A great observation - and one I cannot understand either. I thought it was maybe because my questions were not very clear and the answerers not very bright, but I may be wrong.

Yes - very irritating especially when it's your question! The first thing that springs to mind when this happens is "why did I bother to post the question"? And," why are they bothering to answer"?
