each company has their mileage allowance. I think most go by the fedderal per diem rate.

which I think the current mileage for car is 48.5 cents

Depends - each business has their own allowance levels in house.

If you are speaking of the IRS - check their website...www.irs.gov

And BTW you cannot claim mileage if you were reimbursed by your employer
