At this point last year the fans were turning on John Cena but his character .did not change . A year Later the fans are supporting him and his character still has not change . What did he do to get their support

Because Cena stopped wrestling people that the fans like. No one liked Umaga so there was no reason to really boo Cena. But wrestling Shawn Michaels may make everybody turn on Cena at WrestleMania.

Fans mainly booed John Cena when he was going against wrestlers that the fans wanted to cheer for: Chris Jerhico, Kurt Angle, Triple H, Rob Van Damn, and Edge in Canada. Cena has since wrestled against opponents who the fans have animosity towards. You will still here a Cena sucks chant or see a Cena sucks sign, but they are usually drowned out by the cheers.

He gets more support because of who he is with / who he is against a lot. John Cena has better wrestling skills than people give him credit for, but Vince wants him to be "from the streets" so he plays a brawler that people hate. When has a WWE champion ever been good in the ring though, aside from a few times. Stone Cold had a limited moveset, The Rock was very limited in the ring (People's Elbow = 5 Knuckle Shuffle), Hogan... has 0 wrestling skills. They are good on the mic and good with their character, and that's why they become champion.

If I had a choice between Umaga and Cena, I would cheer Cena. At least he's not a 3-minute warning leftover repackaged into something else. I hate Umaga. Cena is okay, and he has some wrestling skills if you watched his early WWE matches before he became a brawler.

perchance it fairly is any opposite direction around and the cena followers are people who're stupid for not understanding that he won't be able to try against. i've got watch many abode shows distant places in asia and europe he have been given booed alot

Odds are they haven't stopped booing. There's a 2 hour delay to Raw's broadcast, and Vince has edited crowd reactions in the past as ludicrous as it sounds. It's just part of his propaganda

nothing hasn't really change as far as fans reactions are concern from last year to this year.
there are still people who jeer cena. but there are still who cheer him on, especially the teenagers, women and gay.
imho, i think he still sucks! c'mon, his thug and eminem-wannabe image is getting stale and old.
five knuckles shuffle? you have to be a wimp and a sissy to be in a lot of pain after he executes the move like forever!
