Reno is really a nice place. The casinos are really nice and tahoe is a nice place to go that isn't too far. Vegas is very touristy. If you snow ski, you can defidently try out some of the mountains in Reno. Mt. Rose has a nice resort. The stips in both cities are very neon and full of gambling, Vegas is just in a larger scale. I think things in Vegas are more expensive though.

I love both places. Reno has Lake Tahoe, Pyramid Lake and lots of fun things to do like hiking, boating, etc. Las Vegas has Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam, Mt. Charleston, etc. It's more of a personal preference. Reno is nice in the summer and cold in the winter. Las Vegas is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter.

Las Vegas is much more crowded and has more casinos than Reno.

Vegas has so many things to do. Besides gambling, there are shows and lots to do in all the big hotels. Then there is the desert right out of town with beautiful mountains surrounding it. And if you rent a car, you can take a day and drive to the Grand Canyon.

Depends on what you want to do. Like someone said earlier, Tahoe is not far (I think it's a 20-30 minute drive from Reno).Otherwise, I'd recommend Las Vegas. Shows, roller coasters, so many places to shop

I wanna say Vegas hands down, but it depends on what you want to do. If you're looking more for the outdoorsy, fresh air type of activities go with Reno. If you want to party nonstop and have an endless array of activities before you go with Vegas.

Vegas-baby, the commercials aren't lying. Vegas has become a mecca for shoppers, foodies and houses some of the great art works of our time. There's also all the clubs and gambling and sin if you like. It is a decent drive from LA- not too long and scenic

Reno, because you can go skiing/snowboarding in the winter. And in the summer you can go to breathtaking Lake Tahoe or extraordinary Pyramid Lake. Also there's tons of nature and parks all around. Reno Rocks!!!

Well id say Las Vegas because of all the pretty colors. Plus all the celebrities and biggest concerts go there.
