Nope. They would sit there and blister, while insisting that it was ice water.

Believe me, the we see how the socialists have managed to bring the democrats to a full boil. Liberals are cooked. We are actively opposing the socialists so your analogy is not accurate. They are now cranking up the heat under the moderates.
For those who never heard the story:
A frog adapts his body temperature to his surroundings. So, it is said that if you throw a frog into a pot of hot water he will jump right out again. But if you put him in a pot of cool water and slowly turn up the heat he will never notice until it is too late and he is cooked.
In the political context this analogy means that if, for instance, if socialists want to take over America the way to do it is not to by frontal attack because we would resist that. But if they could spread their poison slowly we will keep accepting small changes without realizing that we are being taken over. A little government control here, a little more there, social security here, government controlled health care there, control of schools, control of the media etc. Before you know it we will be calling each other comrade.

It's time to squash the Al Gore lie machine. After that report on his house came out, his press secretary announced that Al Gore participates in the TN Green Power Switch and was installing solar panels. Both are supicious. Why is he just now installing solar panels on this house? Also the Tennessee program to convert over to green electricity is not on-line or is in limited capacity. No one in Tennessee can purchase or switch to this green electricity. One buys a kilowatt block of electricity at $4.50 each and then TVA uses that money to fund windmills that will go on the grid and is distributed through out the state evenly. There is no way that Al Gore can be getting this electricity all to himself.
Not to mention that 5 months ago the papers here in Tennessee said that more money was coming in for these windmills than they could ever build them, mostly because of the lack of skilled contractors. The only green power Gore uses has a dollar value on it.

The problem is, it does not matter if one is conservative or liberal these days. For most people, when the temp. rises slowly, they adjust, without even realizing they are boiling to death. "The people are dying for lack of knowledge." Keep asking questions and hold our leaders accountable for as long as we are still allowed to do so, no matter who you are or which "side" of the fence you are on.

Well, I don't really understand the undertone of your question. I would think that if there was a pot large enough for a human being to fit into, that presumably they would jump out of it if it became too hot, no matter if conservative or liberal.

Yes. We're well aware you're not supposed to stay in a jacuzzi more than 15 minutes. You should try one some time.

They haven't jumped out of Iraq yet, what makes you think they would jump out of any hole they find themselves in - or pot?

Simple answer, we don't.
Isn't it the democratic party that wants to tuck their tail and run from a fight?
