I am trying to write an essay

Sorry that this is not exactly an answer to your question. But this is to the people who asked how you can write a satire about a satire. That is a silly question. It is like asking how you can write a comedy about something funny or a tragedy about something tragic. Anything can be satirized! Satire is just a form of writing.

You do have some good advice, though. Pick the scene or person you feel is most representative of the book as a whole and write a satirical essay about that person or event.

Well, writing a satire of the whole book would probably be too much for an essay, so I suggest you pick a specific scene. The Humpty-Dumpty scene would be great, or the trial at the Queen's court, or maybe the tea party with March Hare, Hatter and dormouse.

Read this scene carefully and try to figure out what makes it "tick". Take the most important features of the scene and try to exaggerate them in a funny way. You might also want to have some of the characters make cynical comments.
