It depends on if you have insurance. If you don't, it could cost you anything from $10,000 and up, if you have great insurance, it could cost you as little as nothing or $500. My first one cost me nothing, the second one cost me about $1000, my sister paid out about $5000 with insurance. The doc lump bills in the end after your 6 week checkup, so they can tell you from the very beginning what it will cost you. But that is subject to change depending on if you had any issues that required extra things.

Well that depends on insurance. If you do not have any insurance you can apply for medicaid and it will be free, except for some medications will cost a couple of bucks. But if you can not get medicaid and have to pay out of pocket.. it can be rather costly. Ultrasounds are about $200.00 and then there separate charges to read them by a radiologist and they sometimes charge up to 150.00. Also doctor visits can cost 100 or more each visit and there are many of those. Then the hospital can be harsh in the charges as well.. could be about 14000.00 with no problems.

Depends on your insurance, and what has been deemed medically necessary. My insurance will only pay for one ultrasound, however b/c i was high risk (i have a pre-existing medical condition), and was diagnosed with cervical incompetance, i have received ultrasounds at all of my visits. THey were all paid for in full. Also, all my OB visits were completely paid for.....no co-pays! The down side with my insurance is that i have a 500$ deductible evertime i am admitted to the hospital (which will happen when i deliver), and up to a 200$ delivery co-pay paid to the doctor after the delivery is done. I guess what i am saying is call you health insurance and ask what they cover b/c every plan seems to be different!

I have blue cross blue shield and it only covers 40%.
For prenatal visits, $1,000 including 1 ultrasound. I had a second ultrasound done because of worries of down syndrome and the deductible was $240.00.
Hospital stay for a vaginal delivery is $2,500. This is all due two weeks prior to due date and the hospital amount could change if there's any changes in delivery like c-section.

Just make sure you have a good insurance company. You don't want to be considered a pre-existing condition and have to pay everything out of pocket.

It really depends on several factors: do you have insurance? Where do you plan on delivering? Are you planning on seeing an OB/GYN or midwife?

I just had my 3rd child and didn't have insurance during this pregnancy. I paid $2100 for the midwife services, $1100 for use of the birthing center (if I would have chosen to have the baby at the hospital it would have costed $2500 not including charges for the anesthesiologist if I would have had an epidural), $300 for lab tests, and $300 so far for pediatrician visits (she's 2 months old).

Depends on where you live and the Dr. you are seeing! Midwives tend to be less expensive, and normally ultrasounds are not needed!!
If you plan a hospital birth, they will take payments, and most home-birth and birthing center midwives will help work on a sliding scale with you, and take payments as well...just ask around!

Depends upon the insurance.

Don't forget about the cost of booze for the husband.

That is an often overlooked cost of preganancy.

It depends on your insurance carrier. If you aren't sure...call the number on the back of your card. If you have no inusurance, it will be pretty pricey, but the doctors and hospitals should be willing to work out payment plans with you.

very expensive!. each visit for me calculates to at least 350 because of bllod work and stuff and ultrasounds are like anywhere from 100 to 400 dollars. i fortunatley qualify for medicaid but without it iw ould not be able to pay for it. most insurances al you have to pay is your copay and delivery if paid for. wiwthout insurance though ti's very expensive
