I actually use Origins foundation. I have fair skin with some redness and a slight oil problem, and this particular foundation I use (Mattifying) helps cover up the redness and helps to clear out oil. It's awesome.
However, I've also used all sorts of drugstore foundations like Cover Girl, Neutrogena and Maybelline. My favorite was Neutrogena out of all of them.
But if you have the money, go for a higher quality product. It's so worth it in the end, and because it's better quality, you'll use less product and it will last longer than the drugstore brand.
P.S. If you have a problem with under-eye darkness, pick up Stila's under eye conclealer at sephora.com, or any Sephora store. It's $16 for a little glass tub, but it's a miracle product. I could be out drinking all night, not get any sleep, and you wouldn't know it with this stuff :)

I would recommend Era foundation by classified cosmetics. Leaves a really natural finish and as it is a spray foundation you can get away with just applying it where it's needed. Take a look at the website for more info here :www.classifiedcosmetics.com

If you have a 'Space' shop near you I would visit them. They are really expensive - however, since I have been using their foundation I have boosted my confidence and the comments I have been given are fantastic - you only need a little and the application is so easy and it last for simply ages - so in the long run it is well worth it.

invest in your foundation!
honestly its the key to a made up face, the worng one and thats it it all slides off in an hour or worse makes your skin flaky and spotty.
Foundation is personal to everyones skin type.
The best thing to do is go to a depatrments store like house of frasier, debenhams, selfridges, even boots and speak to the ladies on the make up counter, they will try to sell you one of their products, but most have a good range to cover all skin types. I find estee lauder really good and i've spotted it in a lot of make up bags, but i have heard good things about chanel too and most of them are under £20 and last a while

I like Boots naturals tinted moisturiser. It glids on smoothly and only costs £1.99. for something with a bit more cover I like Models Prefer foundation available from qvcuk.com.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. It's quite cheap but surprisingly good, plus a little goes a long way! Also it's great as a concealer and doesn't run everywhere, or leave you with pockmarks.

MOST deffinetly L'Oreal Trumatch! I have tried everything from expensive foundations to covergirl to revlon. The BEST in L'Oreal Trumatch..its really is my EXACT skin color (which is hard to find) and whenever I wear it noone even notices I have anything on. Also get the mouse kind, its so lightweight and lets your skin breath. Seriously- check it out!
