My boyfriend said whatever I do I may not be satisfied with it. Could he be right? Is there no hope for me?? How can I feel this when my cousins (who live in a third world country) are struggling to hold on to their jobs?! I feel so hopeless...

I hate my job too! It's just a means to an end. I can't afford to quit. I have to pay the bills! But I'd love to win the lottery & not have to work. What I'd love to do for a living is be an artist or a singer/songwriter but I'm too practical to starve while pursuing these dreams. My art & music I do in my free time but unless I get discovered, I can't quit my day job!

I've never really liked any job that I had, except one where I was a writer working from home for an internet company but it didn't pay well & I ended up laid off with several others when the company was losing money...

Anyway, a job is just a necessary evil. A few people actually like their work but they are the exception, not the rule.

Hang in there! We have to work for a living! If you don't like you're job then there are two ways to deal with it: quit & find something else or stay & make the best of it (try to change your attitude & find something good about it -- I have problems with that myself!!!)

You did not say why you weren't pleased with your interest. I had a job from hell. I in basic terms observed the action picture "The devil Wears Prada", that became my boss for 10 years. He continuously might positioned human beings down, i assume he felt this extra desirable himself. I publish with an stunning style of crap yet in turn, at last, I made respectable money and marvelous bonuses (vehicle, money, whatnot). even however, I asked myself, what the hell am I doing here? I moved to a different state, have been given new interest-plan on commencing off my own company next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. perchance you have the mentality of an proprietor and not a worker. attempt to earnings qualifications and start up off your individual company. a minimum of in case you're busting your hump, it fairly is for YOU & to not make somebody else rich. good success.

You are less happy than your relatives because you have more options. Therefore there is a greater tendancy to believe you would be happier doing something else or being somewhere else. Its no more than the old "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" syndrome.

Eveyone suffers from it, but as you get older you learn to appreciate what you have rather than covet what you don't have.

eh, I think that's pretty normal, really. I think what you need to do is find something or somewhere that you'd rather be. Maybe with better people, a better subject, and more challenges?
