I agree with dizney_71. A Child Called It by Dave Pelzer made me realize that as bad as my problems may seem, it could be worse. And it shows just how strong the human spirit is. He is with out a doubt the person I admire the most in the world.

i actually have two books that ccahnged my life but they changed it in a similar way, it made me realise to live for today and dont think about tomorrow until it gets here.
the first book was 'PEARL HARBOUR' the book of the film, which is totally different to the film
and the second book was the most recent 'REMEMBER ME' by Lesley Pearse. this book is about a girl called Mary Bryant (based on a true story) who was among the first fleet of prison ships to settle in New South Wales. she overcame her fears, and travelled by boat back to the United Kingdom, but on her voyage lost everything her husband and her children to fever. i cried so much when i read both of these books, but now i realise
"LIVE FOR TODAY TOMORROW IS TOMORROW, IT MAY NEVER COME, YOU WONT KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT BUT WHEN IT GETS HERE, LIVE IT"

My favorite book may be fictional, but it's the best i've read so far. the book's called Twilight. and it's a story of a skeptical girl who falls in love with a vampire, and helps him as well as his family, out of a very tight sitchuation. Twilight is excelent, and it was the first book i've read about vampires, and Romance, aside from the classic Dracula, by Brahm Stoker. Now it's gotten me writing stories!

Ummmm....that would be....drum roll please....
Trixie Belden and the Gatehouse Mystery! LOL
I choose that one, not for content, but because it was the first book I ever chose for myself to read.....strictly for enjoyment.
It opened the door to the world of reading for me. I felt such a sense of accomplishment and self-worth when I closed that back cover, after reading the last page. I was proud of myself, and felt soooo much smarter! lol
I think I was in fourth grade. It was the first of many gifts to come from reading.
