ive played fifa 07 on ps2...very interesting,nice graphics,feels like playing in real soccer envinronment...the stadium the crowd cheering,the commentator..exciting things to unlock if i scored enough points.....controlling players and the ball is good too..played for hours..using professional difficulty...the next day i try pro evo 2007 on my ps2....the graphics,commentator,crowd ambience...cant really compare with fifa but still ok...the licence for the teams not updated or not the same...but the game play???the ball control,player control....was superb....i cant stop playing it after that..keeps on playing and playing till today...i ve tried fifa 07 again after that..but i find it very lame in terms of control...i stop playing fifa 07 and put it on yahoo auction to sell the game...after playing pro evo 2007,fifa is more like arcade games for kids...pro evo makes me glued to my seats and keep me playing all the way...im now playing at top player level.....

Pro evolution is by far the better game, any professional review u read will comfirm that, anybody who's played both and doesn't suck will tell u that. gameplay is a million times more realistic and funner, fifa is needs alot more work

i saw a pro evo game yesterday, the Graphics are terrible!! it look kind of like Fifa 02 on the computer!!
they arent even allowed to show the sponsors on the kits.. ok the game play isa "bit" more realistic, but not enough for me,
Fifa 07 is much better in graphics, it is a little lacking on the game play, like the slide tackles but its all good!

ive got loads of fifa games now i have fifa 07 for the 360 and playing that with a 48 inch HD theres nothing more delightful trust me its suuuuperb pro evo biggest lot of gash ever for me that is

Depends on if you want tons of official licensing. My fave gaming site, http://www.ign.com gave them the following ratings:
Fifa 07 - 6.8
Pro Evolution - 8.4
Fifa has pretty much lost to Pro Evolution regularly over the last couple years in most magazines BUT I do still find it enjoyable, mainly because of the Challenge Modes in this year's.
I would say that if you want the best gaming experience, go with Pro Evolution.
