I've been in a position when I hated my job so much, it actually made me depressed, and you shouldn't feel bad or guilty about that. We spend 8-9 hours a day at our jobs, so we should at least have SOME interest in it. When you dread going, hate being there and overall have a negative experience by not learning anything, it can definitely have an impact on your social life. Believe me, I've been there. It sucks.
My advice to you would be to look for another job. There's no reason to stay at a job, unless you're getting paid an exorbitant amount of money you won't get anywhere else. But that's unlikely because with the added "experience" at your current job, you'll be able to request a higher salary/wage at your new job.
You should never feel guilty about leaving a job. I've recently learned that lesson. It's all business, so treat it that way. I'm young (23), and I'm just now getting used to the fact that business see you as a business opportunity. It sucks being in the real world, and it's an adjustment. It will take time, but you'll find your place eventually. It just might take three or four jobs to get there.
If you're unsure about leaving and want to try working it out, I would suggest finding a hobby that you really enjoy, and do it after work. Some people love going to the gym to blow off steam at a yoga or cardio class. Excercise increases endorphins which put you in better spirits. Or join a class of some sort, like knitting (kind of lame, but therapeutic, I've heard).
Whichever you decide, you'll be much better off.
Good luck.

Yeah me too. three guys in a an office buried in computers. only one window in the door. 10 hrs a day six days a week. selling our lives for money to make enough to buy more sh*t we cant afford for more debt that requires more work.
Your just in the siphon phase, u can still remember being alive so it depresses you. It'll go away. Or you could start a little joke Hobie and pretend your in that damn Kevin Spacey movie. Or believe what u see on TV and imagine its only you grinding away and everyone else has fun and gets on reality programing. But that's not the case, "the matrix" parallel, we subvert ourselves to ignore the pain of endless pursuit of a mass consumerism ideal. Don't be surprised if next you briefly go through a crazy phase, maybe even quite your job. It wont last Long though, bills and responsibility will pull ya back so your not the looser at the family function's. Chin up bro!!! the painful part will be over soon. Just find a girl who doesn't mind dating wealthy dissattached career guy with great family ideals, which is all you'll have left. Why do you think there's so many 30 somethings gathering round a TV for football and sh*t once a week. Its the last vestage!
...but yeah good luck with that.

No you shouldn't be too hard on yourself....I think sometimes that when we have had a job for awhile it just becomes so routine that you get bored....That comes with the territory. You can also be tired of the job and want to do something else....It can also be the people and just the environment....If you aren't happy I suggest you stay there and seek out what you really want to do with your life...I am not saying leave that job...that would not be smart...The smart thing to do is to really ask yourself .....is this really what I want to do for the rest of my life or should I be trying to aim for something else...If it isn't what really want then figure out what you really want and go after it with everything you have within you...I am not saying quit your job right now...You make sure YOU HAVE A START DATE AND PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T WALK OFF THE JOB..GIVE THEM A TWO WEEKS NOTICE...THAT IS THE RIGHT AND CORRECT WAY TO HANDLE BUSINESS. They have sample letters online if you need help in writing one....Like I said earlier I think you should really find something you really like to do and work hard at it...when it gets tough you will find that hidden drive and push on until you reach your goals.....what I would do if I were you is if you work a set shift like from 8-5.....I would go to a temp agency and try out different jobs.

do no longer difficulty, they gained't be making the playoffs. bypass T.O. the Kleenex. they'll bypass 2-4, 3-3 at suited, leaving them with 8 or 9 wins. must be adequate yet I doubt it in view which you have at the instant Atlanta, Philly, eco-friendly Bay, Minnesota, Washington duking it out for eighth proper now, alongside with Dallas. you may desire to think of Washington (favorable time table) and eco-friendly Bay (favorable time table) could desire to publish a combat. Atlanta has a time table the place they could bypass 4-2 the the remainder of how besides. this promises all those communities a minimal of a 9-7, yet extra like 10-6 checklist if it performs out proper..

im in the same boat. My I have a 9-5 job, though, I feeel as if I dont do as much like go out and have fun. Im still fairly young, so it wouldn't be 'wrong' for me to go out and get drunk at a bar every now and then..I just either don't make an effort to ask friends to go our, or im too tired at the end of the day. Even on the weekends. My advice for you, as I am trying this myself : to go out and do things..whether it's take a walk somewhere you've never been or go take a drive somewhere..a bed and breakfast, a site you've never seen. That's my MID-YEARS resolution - to do more. YOu only live once..take advantage of it and do as much as you can..you never know when you won't be here to enjoy it.
