Seriously I guess its genetics. Both my parents had hazel eyes and my sisters do as well. I ended up with brown eyes.
One day, my dad playing a trick on me, said I was adopted cause mine were brown. I was little and it crushed me and I cried and cried. Then my grandma who has brown eyes told me about the whole genetics thing and how I got my brown eyes!
After I grew up I discovered that I wished I had been adopted and think maybe I was switched at birth as I am really nothing like any of my family!!

Brown eyes are a dominant trait, and other colors are recessive.
Pretty logical from there.
