Mixing a 10% acid solution with a 15% acid solution, how many milliliters of the 10% solution would be needed to produce a 1500 milliliter solution of 12% acid?

Let x= the volume of 10% solution
1500-x=volume of 15% solution

10%*x+15%*(1500-x)=12%*1500
10x+22500-15x=18000
10x-15x=18000-22500
-5x=-4500
x=4500/5
=900ml

10 a+16b+x 10 =1500 12 ,,a=b=100
1000+1600+x 10=18000
2600+x 10 =18000
x 10 =15400
x=1540
