How long has it been? Most cell phones can get wet and still work if you remove the battery and dry them out with a hair drier.

If you can try this, the battery my be gone but a battery is only about $40 vs. the $200 for a whole new phone.

If you do need a replacement phone go for a more basic model for far less money.

I had the same problem, your phone is still under warranty if you only had it three months. You can send it to cingular, they will repair it for free while you use a replacement in the meantime. It's the only option unless you let your phone air dry and see if it still works. Take it apart and leave it for a day in a very dry part of your home. One more thing, if you tell Cingular that your phone got wet the warranty won't apply so you may want to leave that info out. I never did get my fixed and besides the occasional glitch it's fine. Can't wait till September to get a new one though when my contract expires.

in case you call in and clarify which you like a sparkling telephone and are keen to sign a sparkling settlement then sure Cingular/ATT will try this even however the fee would be off of the a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days pricing with a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days settlement from the date of purchese. so which you would be signing a 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days settlement and recieving a a million 3 hundred and sixty 5 days decrease fee in view which you're nevertheless in a settlement. additionally you will on no account be waiting to get the charges you notice on line or in a save, purely what they are in a position to grant over the telephone which incorporates no rebates. So that's a cheeper selection then determining to purchase the telephone for finished fee even however that's extra useful to attend in case you are able to because of the fact Cingular shoppers are oftentimes eligible to enhance approximately 3-4 months until now their settlement expires. =decrease expenditures and the techniques to enhance on line the place you are able to recieve prompt on line mark downs and rebates for many telephones!

How long was it wet? My phone has been:
1. In the swimming pool.
2: In a cup of coffee
3: In the toilet (that's right)
Take the battery out along with the simm card, then try to use compressed air to blow as much of the moisture out. You can use a can of compressed air that they use for cleaning computers. My phone is still working fine. Better than giving the thieves $200.

Yeah, my cell phone got broken and I had to replace it, too. There's nothing you can do but pay for it. Then ask your cell phone company about insurance. I pay 4 bucks a month for my insurance. And I've had to use it twice in 3 years. I pay the $50 deductible and that's it. Sorry there's not much you can do about it now. But maybe this will help you for next time.
