Along with the good answers everyone else has provided, I would recommend something convienient to your personal needs. Perhaps something small and efficient. People always suggest iPods, but for their price, it's not worth it. There are many great-quality cheaper mp3s, such as a Zen or Siren. I personally like these particular players because they have all the qualities of a great mp3 without the high costs. Just look for something that fits you best.

I agree with the anwser above me, an ipod is cool and sleek, i have one, but i also have an mp3 player. so look for memory, space, requirements to the computer, search function, and the design of it, make it match your style!!!!

If u opt for merely music and videos, an ipod might want to probable be the most suitable. besides the undeniable fact that, if u opt for video games, videos, and music, a psp might want to be ok. i imagine you want to purchase a memory stick as a fashion to hearken to music on your psp. Im no longer that positive. i might want to bypass with an ipod although.

Search function, battery life, does it need software? or can you just put the files on the device as a disk? Supported file formats
