Any one out there who is a painter or a tiler in IRELAND? I would appreciate if you could answer me this and include the company that you work for please. I need to get a quote on tiling the floor of a room with the measurements of 13.85 meters X 8.75 meters with ceramic tiles and the cost of painting the walls and ceiling with 302970 litres of paint. Thank you.

It doesn't matter where in Ireland , this is just research for an assignment.... I've emailed loads of painters and tilers already but I only got one reply back

Not enough detail in the tiling. If it's one room with very little to cut round, that's a minimum £15 a sq metre. Bare Minimum.
If it's to go behind desks and into a toilet area etc.. you could be upto £25 a sq metre. If you include mosaics, these could cost you upto £45 a sq metre (just for the mosaic area).

As regards painting, I thought my last job of 220 litres of emulsion was big but 302970 must be a city!!!!!!!

You need to get a painter in so he can work the job out in terms of how long for one man. What to cut round, what to cover up, access, what needs to masked etc... Too many variables to consider.

Forget email - look them up in the phonebook or local paper and give them a call. They will be able to tell you how much they charge per square metre for tiling and painting.
