unfortunately you cant get rid of stretch marks, but to avoid more strtch marks drink water and herbal teas and stop all drinks that contain caffeine, at least thats what my doctor told me. however if your stretch marks are pink in colour you can use bio-oil to make them lighter

Keep weight stable (no big gains followed by losses) Stretch marks are scars, they need to be treated the same. It takes time for a scar to go away but they do eventually fade if the area is not irratated (no tight waist bands or straps and again keep the wieght down continuously). Working out the muscles under the are with the stretch marks helps too (increases blood flow).
A good multi vitamin along with a vit E tablet should help some, but time is the best healer.
Most creams and cures for stretch marks aren't worth their packaging.

Stretch marks are caused by periods of fast weight gain such as adolescence or pregnancy. Starting off a reddish-purple colour, over time they will fade to a silvery shade which is not nearly as noticeable.
Steps
This topic title is a little misleading because nothing will erase stretch marks once they have formed. Even expensive cosmetic surgery will only make them less noticeable.
The best solution is to choose to think of your stretch marks as something to celebrate. They're badges of honour! Be proud of them! Stretch marks say that you've lived! you've grown! you've changed! you're a survivor! Remember that life leaves its marks on everyone.
Choosing a healthy, varied diet will contribute to better skin elasticity. Be sure to include oily fish such as salmon, nuts and seeds, and lots of fruit and vegetables. Depending on your genes, this may or may not prevent stretch marks or make them less severe. There's no magic combination of foods that can 'erase' stretch marks once you have them -- but a nutritious diet has all sorts of benefits so why not decide to treat yourself right?
Remember that no lotion or cream can prevent or erase stretch marks because they form in layers of skin too deep for any moisturizer to reach. If your pregnant belly is tight and itchy, you can keep it more comfortable by applying a rich moisturiser frequently. Cocoa butter is widely recommended. Shea butter and jojoba oil aren't as easy to find, but these also have many properties that can ease dry skin.
If you find your stretch marks very upsetting, a dermatologist may be able to help. *Microdermabrasion and laser surgery are surgical options. If your appearance matters so much to you that you are seriously considering those options, a counselor might also be able to help.
If you want to wear a belly shirt or a top with a deep neckline but you're afraid your friends will comment negatively on your stretch marks, choose a different outfit and then start looking for more supportive friends.
If you're afraid your lover will comment negatively then you need a reality check! Better to be alone than to be with a spouse who makes you feel bad about yourself just because your skin stretched.
Tips
Remember stretch marks are very common, you are not the only person to have these.
Cheap over the counter lotions (even vaseline) usually work as well as expensive ointments to ease tight, dry, itchy skin.
You can try using a little bit of face powder or foundation to hide your stretch marks. Sunless tanning products also help to camouflage stretch marks.
Warnings
Always check the ingredients list before applying a new skin care product. This is especially important when you are pregnant or nursing.
Whether it can prevent stretch marks or not, if you are pregnant or nursing or expecting a change of weight due to dieting or adolescence, deciding to eat a healthy diet is one of the most important choices you'll ever make in your life.

I have a beauty book that says that if u massage ur stretch marks twice a day with gel, then they will eventually go away. I haven't tried it cause it sounds kinda out there, right, but maybe it'll work for you.
