I have seen the commercial and I am a big fan of gymnastics and was even the only one is my history class who could answer that question. The gymnast is from Romanian and her name is Nadia Comaneci.

Canadian Erika Leigh Stirton ( Gold medallist 1998 Commonwealth video games ), some others are imaginative Gymnastics like Olga Korbut, Nadia Comeneci, Shannon Miller, Dominique Marceanu, etc. maximum of them are Russians.
