I usually write poems for my friend. He asked a new one without mentioning oats. What's your opinion?

Impressive. In 15 words you told an entire story. Beautiful.

As to the theme itself, I never understood this about other gay people. I grew up in a very close, conservative family. We all loved each other very much. I knew my parents were anti-gay, but I never feared losing their love if they found out I was gay. I always figured, if they don't love me after I tell them, they didn't love me before I told them. And even if my parents "stopped" loving me after they found out, it would hurt a little, but why in heck would I care about such hateful people that would turn against their own son. As I've always said, to quote Harvey Fierstein, ALL I NEED FROM ANYONE IS LOVE AND RESPECT, AND ANYONE WHO CANNOT GIVE ME THOSE TWO SIMPLE THINGS HAS NO PLACE IN MY LIFE. I love my mom and dad, and I would give my life for them, but if they cannot respect who I am, then there is no relationship. Being able to tell your parents that you're gay should come as easily to you as telling them that you are right or left handed - if they have a problem with it, THEY are the ones who are strange.

i imagine human beings might want to correctly sense free to have the opinion that they opt for. they should be able to precise there opinion, and those who pay interest (which should be many human beings) must have an open options, and perhaps replace there opinion. some critiques might want to no longer develop into something, besides the undeniable fact that it doesnt advise there valueless. even if no one treasures your opinion, you would possibly want to. Its what makes you who you're.

I want to say that this is the most beautiful poem I have ever read. I'd add some oats.

I am reserving judgment on this one, but it seems pretty depressing to me!

It DOES need some oats, though. What is a haiku without oats?

This is the finest yet. I was moved to tears. So much emotion. You're just so very talented.

Nice. You're getting better, grittier.

It reminds me of the line from the title song from "Hair": "Hallelujah, Mary loved her son; why don't my mother love me?" It's kind of buried in the lyrics, but it's so poignant that it breaks my heart.
