Honey please do not listen to what that one person said! There is no condition under which your milk could ever be harmful to your baby unless you were HIV positive or taking drugs! Your milk is the most wonderful thing you can possibly ever give your baby and I ( and many other mothers!) have nursed our babies thru our pregnancies! Mother Nature does not make your breastmilk bad for your baby! Nature is too smart for that.
However, having said that....I am not really sure how to answer your question. I never noticed my breasts becoming uncomfortable when I was pregnant and still nursing. Maybe it is different for each mother. Hopefully you will get some realistic answers to your question. I just wanted to make sure you know that your milk does not become bad for your baby just because you are pregnant!
In my case I decided to stop nursing my baby at about 6 months because I wanted the new baby to have her own milk and not to have to share with her older sibling. I think that every newborn deserves to be the only one nursing at that time. But that is just my opinion, some mothers will nurse both babies.
You are a wise and wonderful mother to be smart enough to breastfeed your baby. You deserve major kudos for that. It shows your intelligence and your level of education. You have every reason to be proud of this wonderful gift that you are giving your baby. So many women are so poorly informed that they do not even know what they are depriving their baby of when they refuse to breastfeed.
Good for you!
Good luck honey and take care. You need to eat really well, making milk and "growing" a baby are hard work. You need lots of good healthy food and lots of rest. It is a good thing you are breastfeeding, that insures that you are getting more rest than if you were bottle feeding. Take good care of yourself and nap when the baby is napping, don't use that time to try to get things done around the house! The best thing you can do for both of your babies is to take good care of YOU!!
Good luck and Blessings to you.

breast tenderness in early pregnancy is very common and nursing during early pregnancy can add to the tenderness just because of the baby sucking and touching them.

There is no reason for you to stop nursing your baby during pregnancy. Your milk WILL NOT turn bad or harm your baby and nursing while pregnant WILL NOT harm the unborn baby either. It does NOT take away nutrients from your growing baby and WILL NOT cause you to have a miscarriage.

During pregnancy your milk will change due to fluctuations In your hormones, but it's not harmful to baby at all.

You don't even have to stop nursing in order to "save" milk for the new baby. Your body will naturally increase it's supply to feed both children. And your supply will most likely increase later in your pregnancy due to colostrum production.

Look at the links below- there is tons of information out there on the benefits of nursing while pregnant and tandem nursing as well.

In my experience my breast became very tender even more so... to the point I had to quit... I'm not sure what "Maro's mom" is talking about the milk becoming harmful for the baby... I would have to disagree but you do need to keep in mind that your baby that is nursing is taking nutrients from you and so is the baby you are carrying, someone is losing out on what they may need... My doctor told me to start weaning my nursing baby when I got pregnant with the next and trust me it wasn't too hard to do after the breast tenderness... Talk to your doctor and see what she says
