You do this by filling out a form which you can get from your own phone company. Actually, it's a one sentence letter stating: "I wish to register with the Telephone Preference Service and I would like to reduce the number of unsolicited sales telephone calls I receive."
Some companies have a Freephone number to get this form.
0800 398893 - BT
0500 398893 - Mercury
0500 730730 - Cable
Or write to:
The Telephone Preference Service
6 Reef House
Plantation Wharf
London
SW11 3UF
0171 738 9053
Fax 0171 978 4918

Are they calling you on your house phone or mobile? If it's your house phone you can register with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service). It stops marketing calls. I don't have the number, so you will have to look it up. But all you do is call them & follow the instructions.

Hope this helps :)

One simple solution: Tell them that you are a member of the TPS (telephone preference service). By law they are then not allowed to call you.

If you call the network provider you are with, they can put you on this free of charge. You can do the same with your home phone too...that will stop sales people like me!!
