I bought a pregnancy test that creates a plus sign if your pregnant and a minus if your not. Well when I took the test out of the package it had a visible minus sign already on it. Does this mean that it is faulty or is that just how they come?

The test does not say anything about that line being there pre-testing and yes the line is very dark.

In your box that the pregnancy test came in should be an instruction sheet. This should have a picture somewhere on it of what the test looks like before you test, after you test and what the results will come up as and what they will look like. Also every pregnancy test should have a control window, if the control window line doesn't come up you definitely know the test is faulty. Hope this helps, best of luck.

What is the name brand.. you could look up the brand online and see what it says at the website. Or you can call the company and ask them if it comes that way. Does the box have any pictures on it.. does the instructions say there will be a minus sign and a plus will appear if you are pregnant? Good luck and hope you can find some info soon.

No, THAT IS HOW THEY COME. The EPT pregnancy test has a blue line going across it horizonatally and when you pee on it then a line vertivcally apears or not. (it says this ON the directions, make sure you read evrything on the paper.) The line is there to show you it is working, if there is no line then the test is bad. I am going off of what an "EPT" test is so read the direction book on yours.

i would say that it is faulty. some tests you can somewhat see where the line in supposed to be but it should be colored or anything

it could be just how it comes, and that it will add the other line if you are pregnant, and stay the same if youre not... go buy another one, and if theyre both like that, now you have 2 to take... Good luck and God bless...

It depends on how dark the line is you are talking about. If it is barely visible, it should be fine, if it is very dark, get another one.

There should be nothing in that window until after you take the test so get a new one.
