I was with this girl for five years. At first I didn't want to date her b/c I thought I was influencing her to be gay, but it turned out she considered herself gay ever since she was a little girl. Life happened and she moved out. We still hung around each other and I really hoped we would be back together. She moved in with her sister and her husband. She finally came out to her mom, who is a pastor. She works at a bank with ladies that are obsessed with going out partying and men. Ever since she got there, those women have been trying to hook her up with a man. She has told not one person she is bi or about me. She has worked there for over a year and now she says that she doesn't consider herself gay anymore, goes to a penacostal church, is letting the girls hook her up with guy customers, and wants a husband and kids. Of course I feel absolutly sick about this and confused. Is she being influenced to be straight and hiding her true self?

People can choose an idea which can override another idea instantly. No matter how gay she may have felt she is female. The spiritual being may have other ideas but the body is female.

I have asked many people when did you first feel you were gay? Many not all remember a time not long after someone died or left suddenly! The physical reaction is to procreate, if there is no one of the opposite sex available you can fall for the same sex. This is only an observation. Could this occur earlier in life and give a person the idea that they are gay. What if you were a man or women one lifetime and then the opposite the next? Maybe you were better at being the opposite sex. Just food for for thought. The main thing is be good to all people that are honest and seeking the truth about life.

Well I'm a guy, so you have to atleast laught at this... really all she needed was some good deep dick to get her back on track

but in a more serious note, it does kind of sound like she is being influenced by her surroundings. Maybe she also changed her surroundings to get away from the old too? Thats only something you can know by talking to your friend. There are a hundred different possiblitys, and if she came out to her mom its probably not because she is scared of it. I would think telling her mother would be the hardest person to tell of all.

You questioned her in begining, so maybe you was her first, and maybe your her last. Dont be offended by it, maybe its just what she wants now, but atleast she was able to trust you enough to explore her self with..

It sounds like she's hiding half of her sexuality and jumping back in the closet. Poor dear. Maybe it'll work for her if she's bi, but then societal pressure could just lead to the most miserable years of her life. Sucks how some people get treated...

She is still gay just an ex-gay which means in the closet. So to answer your last question is she hiding her true self? Yes! But it's her life to mess up as she sees fit so it's time for you to move on.

She will be back!! She is probably trying to be straight. Yeah we know that always turns out. Just go out and have fun and don't let anyone control your life with a "simple emotion".

Yeah sounds like she's given in to the pressure. But whatever it's her life, if that's what she wants.
Move on, date other people.

Well, sweetie, of course she can't just 'turn straight' if she was gay... however, it is possible that she's bisexual... you have to consider that possibility.

it's her choice. she doesn't want to be gay, so she doesn't have to be.
