If the American people have lost so much confidence in Bush, why won't the Democrats do something about it? Why not take action?

was Hillary Clinton impaired when she voted to authorize the war in Iraq in 2002? Was her husband impaired when, for 8 years, he called for the removal of Saddam Hussein? Was John Kerry impaired when he voted to authorize the war? John Edwards? The list of Democrats goes on and on.

Oh, and Speaker Nancy still has her thong (ugh) in a knot over Dick Cheney's criticism that her plan for Iraq would validate Al-Qaeda's strategy. She claims Cheney was questioning her patriotism...which he never did. This is the Big Lie of the Left...when you run out of ideas, when you have nothing else to say....accuse your opponent of questioning your patriotism. Sounds like somebody's pantsuit might be a little too tight.

They could impeach the president or cut off appropriations for the war. Except they'll do neither...because they don't have the you-know-whats...oh ... and they have no plan for Iraq either.

I do wish the Dems would grow a set. They've got good ideals on paper but won't stand up to the fascists.

But you know what, I blame the American people for not caring enough about what goes on in our country.

Keep voting for either fascists (Republicans) or wimps (Democrats) and that's what you get.

Try voting for a third party next time. Actually get your a** out and vote. I understand that voter participation in the last presidential election was like 40% of the eligible population. Even less in the midterm elections.

i've got self assurance he's an particularly desperate guy that has a "inventive and prescient" of ways he needs the international to be and he would not backpedal because of the fact somebody would not accept as true with him. he's a rock and would not sway because of the fact his suggestions are not "prevalent". I nonetheless love W, he has had it annoying when you consider that he has been in workplace. And sure, I voted for him two times. Gore and Kerry, come on, the place could we be now?

Well we are up to our **** on this one.

We stay for 5-10 years. Get some semblance of stability. We leave & the civil war starts all over again. Remember Lebanon?

We leave now and the civil war continues. Remember Vietnam?

And in both cases we have created enough new jihadists to last us about 50 years or so.

Because the democrats are politically craven and we all know it. With the exception of a few firebrands -- Russ Feingold, Patrick Leahy - and we all know a politician's first priority (with the exception of a few) is getting re-elected. The democratics have been burnt by the republican smear machine, so they are cautious to the point of impotence. So much so, they are afraid to challenge a president and an administration with Nixonian levels of approval. Last time I checked Cheney had a 19% approval rating.....that's 16% LESS than the people in America who believe in aliens.....beating your child in public favored more than he is.

Sounds to me like most of the Republicans that answer on Yahoo Answers are still brain washed or ill informed as usual as they don't have a clue as to what is happening in Iraq or the lies created by the Bush Administration to go into Iraq. Some Republicans use insults as that is their only credible way of answering here in Yahoo Answers.

Well, they got voted in. They took over Congress. So far,
all they've done is spend taxpayers money talking about a
resolution that is non-binding and didn't even pass the
Senate. I bet you Democrats and Liberals expected some
action from them right away, didn't you? Nope. Didn't happen.
I think you'll soon see they were all "just talk"

WASHINGTON - House Democratic leaders are developing an anti-war proposal that wouldn't cut off money for U.S. troops in Iraq while requiring President Bush to acknowledge problems with an overburdened military.

One step at a time.

The libs are just plan old cowards. They should just defund the war to stop it but they wont. They are doing nothing more the political posturing with the latest a spending bill that says admit you wrong and we will give you the money type strings. Again, they are being cowards, repeat cowards and that means the libs will not take a stand why because they are cowards.

We seem to be stuck in this forever war with no good options.
What this war is going to do to the GOP is incalculable.
What will the GOP do about its war ? But there are several Democratic plans being discussed.
