The usual Westernised pronunciation is
Ee-dip-uss
The Greeks probably pronounced two of the vowels differently:
Oy-dip-oo-ss
So you can pronounce it either way. The Greek way is "right", and the Westernised way has become equally "right" just by being used for so long.
