the motormount bolts hit the frame when tring to remove them .

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

Tools Required
J28467-360 Engine Support Fixture Adapter
J28467-400 Engine Lift Hook

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Drain and recover the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
Remove the coolant surge tank.
Remove the drive belt.
Install the J28467-360

Remove the upper fasteners from the front cover.
Remove the engine mount assembly.
Remove the engine mounting bracket adapter.
Raise and support the vehicle.
Remove the right front wheel and the tire assembly.
Remove the right splash shield.
Remove the crankshaft balancer.
Remove the lower front cover fasteners.
Lower the vehicle,
Remove the front cover and the gasket.
Inspect the front cover gasket. Replace the gasket if it is damaged.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Tools Required
J36660

Install the front cover gasket. The gasket is reusable and does not require sealer. NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the upper front cover fasteners.
Tighten the fasteners to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.) .
Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
Install the remaining front cover fasteners.
Tighten the fasteners to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.) .
Lubricate the front oil seal and the sealing surface of the crankshaft balancer with Chassis Grease GM P/N 1051344 or equivalent.
Install the crankshaft balancer.
Install the right splash shield.
Install the right front wheel and tire assembly.
Lower the vehicle.

Install the engine mounting bracket adapter. NOTICE: This bolt is designed to permanently stretch when tightened. The correct part number fastener must be used to replace this type of fastener. Do not use a bolt that is stronger in this application. If the correct bolt is not used, the parts will not be tightened correctly. The system or the components may be damaged. IMPORTANT: These bolts must be replaced with new bolts anytime they are removed.
Install the engine mounting bracket adapter bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.) + 60 degrees . Use the J36660
Install the engine mount assembly.
Remove the J28467-400 and the J28467-360
Install the drive belt.
Install the coolant surge tank.
Add coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
Connect the negative battery cable.
