About as much as I look forward to having my head nailed to the carpet.

That's a straight NO! Brown will be ineffectual in dealing with the plethora of problems that assail the British people at this time. He gained the reputation of being a 'good' Chancellor of the Exchequer by simply taxing everything that moved and everything that didn't! Now the tax burden borne by the British people is among the heaviest in the world, and he has set the precedent. His successors are NOT going to reduce these tax burdens, be they Labour, Tory or anything else!
To my mind, and the minds of a lot of others, the Blair/Brown years will live in infamy as the time when Blair concentrated on screwing the country, while Brown stealthily screwed the people.
One things for sure, they won't be putting up any statues to the either of them in the near or distant future!

No. Is the short answer.

Here's the longer version.

In my view he has made a mess of the countries finances, but disguised it very well by manipulating some of the key measurement devices.
Other parties don't really want to 'spill the beans' because they want to inherit the myth of wealth through debt.
The alternative to tell the truth would expose the last 35+ years of appalling mismanagement not only of our economy but of our Independence.
A serious drain on UK finances are the £ Billions we pay for the privilege of people who don't even speak our language making our laws for us.
People who we can't even vote out of power!!

Bush may be regarded as an idiot by more than half of America but he is at least one of your own.
We have surrendered our Independence out of 'shame' for our Imperial past.
Our politicians have decided to take the blame for all the failings of everyone Else's Imperial ambitions as well as our own, simply because ours were the most successful and long lasting.

You don't here of the French, Spanish, Portuguese, Germans, Belgians, Italians or Dutch under taking such self flagellation over their past Imperial disasters.

What did the Belgians do about Rwanda (a mess they made by dividing the people in two tribes decades ago?)

What are French doing about Chad?

Or the Italians about Ethiopia?

So to come back to the subject. NO NO and thrice NO!!!!

Why does everyone on this forum say Labour it's New labour.
New Labour is another name for communism. Would you have voted for the communist party of course you wouldn't, then lets be honest. Peter Hain was chairman of the young communist party and Blair, Brown, and the rest of the cabinet were all members of the communist party. The real Labour party is on its last legs being driven out by these imbeciles. Gordon Brown sold half our gold reserves at rock bottom price when the gold price on the footsie was as low as you could get, Guess what? a couple of weeks later the gold price shot up. Gordon Brown introduced taxes on pension providers that destroyed the pension schemes and left hundreds of thousands of people with out enough money to retire, thousands of others lost their pensions altogether, so ,do you really think I would be looking forward to this blithering idiot becoming prime minister.

I am not sure I'd say looking forward to, however, I shall be reading about him, and listening to any programme he is on.

I will search the net for information, and then when the time comes, I shall make an informed choice.

Of course, I don't know If I shall vote labour.

Before I vote for anyone; I have to be as sure as I can, he will be right for the job and the country!

So, no, I am not looking forward yet.

Although, I won't say anything against the man, it's not an easy job; and I wouldn't like to make the decisions, they have to...

Well, every silver lining has a cloud. Getting rid of Blair is one thing, having to suffer Brown is quite another. Somebody, somewhere surely must stand against him to force an election.

I'm looking forward to see how Tony takes him down from beyond the prime ministerial grave.I actually think he'd've been a good PM if he'd had the balls to stand up to Blair a few years ago.
