hey there.
first of all ad-aware has official web site and you can download this program there. the question is why are you using limewire? i can't believe there still are people that ignore malicious features of limewire and still use it:/ here's article about danger of file sharing programs: http://www.2-spyware.com/news/post91.html
what you describe is most likely to be spyware, not a virus, so you need an antispyware to stop it. try spybot, it's free http://www.2-spyware.com/review-spybot-search-and-destroy.html

Never download any program through Limewire, just videos or music. Go to the actual website to download what you want or to Cnet or download.com.
Limewire should tell you that whatever you are downloading has a virus if you have the right software installed.
AVG by Grisoft is excellent, get their free edition. For spyware, go to Cnet or Lavasoft.com and get Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition which is also free.

First, you can download Ad-Aware for FREE off the internet, you don't need to use limewire. You can get a FREE antivirus off the internet as well, and it's a good antivirus. It's call Avast!. www.avast.com and go to download > programs and look for avast 4.7 the software is free you just need to put an email address and they will send you a product key. After you install avast run a scan, and see what you find. To fix limewire, try re-installing it.

good luck

You probably do have a virus. Is your limewire set to open everytime you start your computer? That is bad in general. Also, make sure you control your sharing. I have an antivirus program just in case... it is worth the investment.

yeah limewire is bad news....my computer crashed down because if it. I am not an expert, but you need an antivirus program. I recentely got recommeneded Windows One LiveCare because its esp. made for windows ...so if you have windows that would be a good choice. Don't go with Norton. You might want to get something like spy sweeper...you might have alot of spyware as well.

That really sucks. A lot of people will disguise a virus as say a song your looking for, Try not to download any zip files, or songs that are smaller in size than what you think they would be.

That's what happens when you pirate software. Maybe next time you'll consider actually paying for something instead of stealing it.

Just a suggestion - don't try pirating the anti-virus software. If you do it'll probably come with its own viruses that it won't be able to find.

if you know where the folder is , open the window click under tools and click unhidden folders then it should become visible , then delete it from your machine
Afterwards do a serious virus scan etc.
