Sorry I am trying to get answers before work!!! Can I use an OTC yeast infection med even if I am not sure I have a yeast unfection?? Will any harm come from doing this??

This is what I've read: If you've had yeast infections in the past and you're sure that's what you now have, you can use the OTC med. If you're not certain, see a doctor.

Not necessarily harmful but it might upset you're system if it isn't a yeast infection. Try and drink more liquid over the next few days, cut down on milk, cheese, caffeine, fizzy drinks and alcohol to see if things improve. Even if you're not sure it's a yeast infection, eating natural yoghurt can help, and it may sound disgusting, but if you put a little on a tampon and insert it, that can also kill an infection because of the good bacteria in the yoghurt. Better than taking medication you might not need, but not harmful if you only have a mild infection or even none at all.
